Fortnite just added a brand new feature called Sprites. These magical creatures can be used to your advantage when wandering across the island, but what exactly do Sprites do? And where can they be found?

Here is everything you need to know about Sprites in Fortnite.

What are Sprites in Fortnite?

Sprites are described as the living representation of magic that has joined the Battle Royale island. These small creatures can be used to aid players during their match, with each of them having a different ability. Sprites can be found all across the map in Fortnite.

All Sprites in Fortnite and their abilities:

  • Air Sprites: These can be thrown to create an updraft wind vortex that can send you flying with a glider redeploy. The vortex can also damage builds and launch vehicles.

  • Water Sprites: These can be thrown to create a healing fountain that restores health and shields to nearby players.

  • Earth Sprites: These will consume items you feed them in exchange for a reward.

Sprites's abilities do not end here, however. Players can also take these creatures to Sprite Shrines, where they will be revitalized, giving players a Boon.

But what is a Boon in Fortnite?

Boons, which can also drop from bosses and be found in chests, are consumed on pickup and give players different powerups.

All Boons and their powerups in Fortnite:
