Here’s how to survive fire damage!

Fortnite update v31.10 is now live with new Marvel weapons and Super Styles available to all players. In addition, Epic Games has launched a new questline based on Doctor Doom, this season’s primary antagonist. One quest tasks players with surviving fire damage, which may sound challenging, but it’s actually quite simple. This Fortnite guide walks you through how to survive fire damage to make your life easier.

How to survive fire damage in Fortnite

This quest is pretty straightforward. To survive fire damage in Fortnite, all you have to do is head to one of the many gas stations stationed around the map. Then, walk up to one of the pumps and shoot one or hit it with you pickaxe until in explodes. If done correctly, you will receive the quest complete notification immediately.

Another option is to locate Firefly Jars and throw one on the ground to create a flame effect. This will result in your Fortnite character sustaining enough fire damage to complete the challenge.

You will receive 20K XP for surviving fire damage and you will unlock additional items for progressing through the Doom quests.

The current Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 map contains several gas stations. You can refer to the map above from Fortnite.GG to see every location. There are two in the northwest portion and another two on the east side near the middle of the map.

Firefly spawns are a bit more challenging to come by. You can find these spawns on the north side of the map mostly in forest areas. Regardless of which option you choose, both will get the job done.

The decision is up to you, but the gas station option is the more straightforward to complete Fortnite’s “survive fire damage” challenge.
