PGL Bucharest is the second of four S-tier CS2 tournaments held by the organizer in the calendar year and follows up from MOUZ's victory over Falcons in Cluj-Napoca. However, MOUZ won't be here to defend their title.

Sixteen teams make up the full list for PGL Bucharest. Of those, 12 were directly invited via VRS (with some big names choosing to skip the event). The remaining four qualified for the tournament through separate sub-regional qualifiers.

The teams will play out a Swiss stage bracket, with all matches best-of-three. Three wins sees a team head to the playoffs, while three losses see the team head home. The eight playoffs contenders then play out a single-elimination bracket, with the winner walking away $200,000 richer.
