Want to check your KD in MW2? You can see it as a part of your Combat Record that was delivered with the Season 1 update.

KD stands for kill/death ratio. This showcases how many kills you have compared to how many times you've been killed. It is one of the most important stats in all of gaming. A lot FPS players determine how good they are with this simple statistic. Call of Duty has always shared KD with its players, but it was missing at the start of Modern Warfare 2. Now that Season 1 is here, you can check your KD in the Stats section of MW2.

You can view the leaderboard while you're playing any of the various MW2 modes. It changes once the game has completed, however. During a match, you'll be able to see things such as your overall score, amount of kills and time spent holding an objective.

Once that match has completed, an altered leaderboard will be shown after the Final Kill Cam and just before you're sent back to the lobby. The in-game leaderboard stats are still available with the total number of deaths now tacked on in some game modes.

Not all modes provide the ratio in MW2, but you can take the amount of kills and divide that by the amount of deaths. This will tell you the KD ratio number for that match. Thankfully, you don't have to rely on crunching the numbers yourself to check your lifetime KD.

Previous Call of Duty titles have had a main menu option known as the Barracks. This is where you'd go to adjust your Clan Tag, change your profile banner or check your lifetime statistics. You were able to see how well you performed with certain weapons and in the game overall.

The Combat Record has returned, but it is no longer found in the Barracks. It is in the Stats menu that arrived with Season 1. Here's how to access it and check your KD:

  • Launch Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
  • Press the confirmation button on your respective system to enter the main menu
  • Open the Options tab and select Stats
  • View your K/D Ratio on the Combat Record screen that appears

You can check your K/D ratio for MW2, along with games played, win/loss ratio and time played on the main Combat Record screen for multiplayer. Diving in even further lets you see other stats like personal bests and top weapons.
