Prepare your wallets, the Pathfinder Mythic Skin is a little pricey.

Pathfinder has become the latest Legend to get a special Mythic Skin in Apex Legends. These special skins come with some absolutely badass perks, including a dive trail and a finisher. Naturally, with these being of the same rarity as Legend Heirlooms, there is a high cost to getting the Pathfinder Mythic skin.

However, sometimes the true cost of getting your hands on items in Apex Legends can be hard to decipher. There are event packs, event bundles, crafting materials and even the option to purchase skins in a collection event directly.

So, here is how much the Pathfinder Mythic Skin costs in Apex Legends and how you can get your hands on it.

How much does it cost to get the Pathfinder Mythic Skin in Apex Legends?

There are four ways to get the Pathfinder Mythic Skin in Apex Legends. You can unlock it through Event Packs (700 coins each), while the Techno Terror Collection Event is live. Additionally, during this event you can unlock this skin with Crafting Metals or by directly purchasing event skins with coins.

Then, after the event, you can unlock the Pathfinder Mythic Skin with Heirloom Shards.

So, here is how much each method costs.

The cost of each way to get the Pathfinder Mythic Skin

Crafting Metals
38,400 Crafting Metals
Event Packs (24 needed)
16,800 Apex Coins (about $150)
Direct Coin Purchases
33,600 Apex Coins (about $293)
Heirloom Shards
150 Heirloom Shards

So, with all those options laid out, we can immediately rule out directly purchasing all 24 cosmetic items with Apex Coins. This is not a cost effective way to get the Pathfinder Mythic Skin.

Respawn offer this as an option for those of you who only wish to grab a couple of items from the Collection Event and don't want to dice their luck with Event Packs to get the items they're after.

Otherwise, the three other options essentially are up to you. If you're rolling in Crafting Metals then you could purchase event cosmetics using these and it would cost you nothing outright. However, most players won't have that many Metals to hand. Instead, you could purchase some of the event using Metals and then purchase Event Packs to complete your collection.

Of course, Heirloom Shards are also a rare item. They have a low 0.045% drop rate and in theory cost you 500 packs (50,000 Apex Coins) unless you get lucky. But, if you have them to hand and don't like the event cosmetics, this is another way to get the Pathfinder Mythic Skin with no additional cost on top of what you've already spent on the game.

The cheapest way to get the Pathfinder Mythic Skin in Apex Legends

There is a secret method to save some coins, and bring the cost of the Pathfinder Mythic Skin down. You'll be purchasing Event Packs to get the skin using this method. Here's how to save some money.

  • Head to the in-game Store.
  • Purchase the two Techno Terror Collection Event Bundles, which cost 7,500 Coins each. You must do this before purchasing/opening any Event Packs, as they come with Skins directly. If you unlock the skins, you can't purchase the Bundles.
  • Then, purchase the rest of the Packs you need to collect all 24 items.

This method saves you some money, because the two bundles cost 7,500 coins, which is the value of around 10 packs, but you get 12 packs worth of items in the bundles. This brings your coin total down by 1,400 which saves you $12.

You can also combine this method with crafting some of the 'purple rarity' cosmetics to lower the cost of getting the Pathfinder Mythic Skin even further.
